Adoptable of the Week: Amber

Meet Amber, a young 1 yr old Chocolate Lab and full of love and energy. She loves the water and a water hose. She would do great close by a body of water. She was picked up as a stray. She is as sweet as they come. A little afraid of storms. And smart as a whip. She will be easy to train to do tricks. She would love a medium high energy home. She is young and still learning house rules. She doesn’t meet a stranger.

Adoptable of the Week: Leon

Leon is about two years old and was rescued from a local shelter. He is heartworm negative, neutered and current on all vaccinations. Leon has all the puppy energy and antics that come alone with an adolescent canine. He loves other dogs and dog savvy kiddos. Leon is still a youngster and needs some basic obedience training and leash training. We are not recommending a home with kids under 5 due to his exuberance.

Leon would be fine as an only dog. He is housetrained and crate trained. He is always happy and willing to cuddle with his family. Leon likes to chew on bones.

Leon is looking for a home that wants a playful and active canine family member. He is ab;e to jump a 4 ft fence but respect the 5 ft fence at doggie day care.

Leon will make a fantastic addition a get up and go type of family. Hiking partners, please apply!

Adoptable of the Week: Broadway Joe

Ball! Ball! Ball!
Ball! Ball! Ball!

Broadway Joe is my name and fetching is my game! I’m between 3-5 years old according to the vet and I’m an A+ fetcher. I’ll even sleep with a tennis ball in my mouth if you’ll let me. I’m housetrained and walk well on a leash. I ride well in the car and would love a family to call my own.

I came to BDRP via a vet that found me. The vet took me in and got me healthy but couldn’t find me a home. He reached out to the nice people at BDRP and we found a foster to call my own until a home can be found. I’d probably be okay in an apartment as long as there was some space to play fetch nearby.

I’m good with other dogs but don’t really play with them. I will chase a cat so no kitties please. I’m in good health now outside an old injury in my knee. Someone shot me with a BB gun and I’m on some arthritis meds to help with that. They can’t do anything to fix it but I get alone just fine. They took x-rays just to make sure they couldn’t fix it. They said it was best to just leave it alone.

I’m very food motivated and eager to please. If you have a ball to throw for me, I’m your guy!
