Surrendering a Dog

We get hundreds of intake request for dogs in shelters. There are certain breeds and mixed breeds that are in high demand from our adoption pool so we target them in the shelters. If you have a Golden Retriever, Golden Retriever Mix, Standard Poodle, Standard Poodle Mix (Doodle, Labradoodle, Sheepadoodle, Goldendoodle etc.) or a Purebred Labrador Retriever, we may be able to help. We are not limited to these breeds but please understand that space is limited. Most of our intake is within Texas. Please contact us at BDRPinfo@gmail.com. Please include as much information about your dog as possible and attach photographs.

If you have a dog that is NOT one of the above mentioned breeds and are willing to bring your large breed dog current on vaccinations, heartworm prevention, have them spayed/neutered if not already AND you are willing to foster them until we are able to match them for adoption; we may be able to help, even if your dog is not one of our targeted breed. If you are willing to bring your non-targeted breed dog current and have AT LEAST two weeks before your dog needs rehoming, contact us at BDRPinfo@gmail.com with details and photos. We are unable to accept known pit-bulls or pit-bull mixes due to the number in shelters needing good homes. Even when dogs are fully vetted, our transport costs usually exceed our adoption fee.

We do not have unlimited resources or we would help every dog in shelters and needing rehoming alike. If we are unable to help you, it does not mean your dog is not beautiful or lovely. It just means we don’t have the resources available.
